Trump Administration's 28 point "Peace Plan" as of 11/20/2025. 1. Ukraine's sovereignty will be confirmed. 2. A comprehensive non-aggression agreement will be concluded between Russia, Ukraine and Europe. All ambiguities of the last 30 years will be considered settled. 3. It is expected that Russia will not invade neighboring countries and NATO will not expand further. 4. A dialogue will be held between Russia and NATO, mediated by the United States, to resolve all security issues and create conditions for de-escalation in order to ensure global security and increase opportunities for cooperation and future economic development. 5. Ukraine will receive reliable security guarantees. A U.S. official told Axios this would be an explicit security guarantee for Ukraine from the U.S., the first time that has officially been on the table during these talks, though the proposal does not offer further details on what it entails. 6. History May Not Repeat—But It Rhymes!

In June of 1979, Pope John Paul II visited his native Poland—a nation a restive nation under the seemingly iron grip of Soviet Communism. Ten years later communism—and Soviet rule—ended in Poland. Much happened in the ten years between these two dates to bring this about. However, it was the Pope’s initial visit which set these events into motion. The ruling Communist regime suspicious of the visit, required that the Pope make no statements which were of a political nature—or could even be implied to be so. The Pope agreed. He complied. All that he did was to say mass at his public events. However, what happened was that the Polish people assembled in their millions at his multiple masses. Communism was officially atheistic. It maintained mass and individual surveillance over the entire population. No one could trust anyone except, possibly, close family members. So, when the people assembled in their millions; for the first time they could all see that THEY were the vast m...

Future Ages Are Depending Upon Us Now!

by Dr. Michael Byron. Donald Trump’s ascension to power jeopardizes all ages to come. His assault upon our Constitution, his utter disregard for the rule of law, are mortal threats to our democracy. His unprovoked destruction of the rule based international order, along with the system of alliances which have underpinned it for the past 80 years, are throwing the international system into chaos. His utter disregard for the ecological well-being of the planetary ecosystem at the expense of short-term profit for a few, threaten to unleash climatic chaos, and ecosystem collapse upon the entire web of life on which we, and all life, on this world, depend. In all the ages since our distant forbearers first set foot upon the plains of East Africa, no greater calamity has arisen. Viewed from the perspective of all the Ages which are yet to come, THIS is the decisive moment upon which all that is yet to unfold, throughout all future ages, depends upon us for its very existenc...

Be Prepared! By Dr. Michael Byron The Trump regime is a lawless regime. It is increasingly unconstrained by existing laws, or by the courts. Unlike in his first term, Trump is no longer surrounded by “adults.” He’s surrounded by people chosen specifically for their absolute loyalty to himself. That’s why the article linked here: The 200+ Sites an ICE Surveillance Contractor is Monitoring (mostly behind a paywall) is alarming. To summarize ICE (Immigrations and Customs Enforcement) is paying a private contractor to monitor and permanently record all posts on hundreds of social media sites, including Bluesky. Everything that we post online is recorded. Even if you delete a post, they already have it recorded! ICE is using this information against legal green card possessing residents to identify them as persons the Trump regime will select for involuntary (illegal) summary deportation. The first several such cases have just occurred and are currently in the news. Beyond this, ...
Ukraine's Fight is Right! On Giving Meaning to the Death of a Young Soldier. By Michael P Byron Today, I read an article in a Ukrainian newspaper about the death in combat of a young soldier near the destroyed, now Russian occupied, Ukrainian city of Bakhmut. What caught my attention was that I had recently corresponded online with a Ukrainian soldier of that name fighting in that location. I hadn’t heard from this person for about two weeks and was not able to reach them today. So, I don’t know if it was the same person. However, this started me thinking about the nature of the world in which we live. Why is there war? When is fighting in a war “just” and when is it not? Why? Why did this young soldier die? What follows is my answer to these related questions. I taught International Relations courses for many years at various Colleges and Universities. At the beginning of each class I would (usually) startle my students by informing them that the world they lived in was in a sta...
